Often times individuals think they need to devote there life to a special cause however there are actions on a day-to-day basis that are just as important. Here is a suggestion to get you started. Say hello to a stranger passing you by on the sidewalk and then smile. Vakkar Salon is making a difference, as our stylists understand our hair is an ornament.
Vakkar received a phone call from someone that wanted to donate her hair to locks of love and wanted to know if we would be interested in the challenge. Our salon has been known in the community to make charitable donations and of course we said yes. Four months later Ana booked an appointment for her locks of love hair cut.
Once Ana came into the salon she informed us that this was her first professional experience at a hair salon for a haircut. If there was someone who deserved this experience it was she. Ana felt the need to donate her hair to a child that would need it for a wig while going through cancer treatments. Vakkar Salon tips our hat to Ana for being so selfless and kind.
Remember that our hair is like an ornament whether you are a woman, man, or child you are often attached to it. So think about what you can do to make a difference in the world. We are not suggesting you donate your hair, but do something you feel is a kind and selfless. Thank you to Ana for showing us how to be selfless. Maybe there is hope for this crazy world after all.
